Vic and Bob's Afternoon Delights and the Return of the Fast Show

Vic & Bob’s afternoon delights have to be some of the funniest, most lateral comedy snaps around.
They truly are bizarre.

Vic and Bob have come up with a number of wacky characters. Here are a few snippets to whet your appetite…

How about ‘Charity Peter’, a charity statue money-collector child who has difficulty finding alternative work, but who is easily offended by Vic’s questioning. The best job Peter ever had, he says, was as one of those giant inflatables outside a car showroom.

Then there’s the glassblowers; a weird couple of blokes one from each side of the Atlantic, who met through the internet and their shared love of glassblowing. Vic and Bob get the giggles badly in this one – who wouldn’t!?

The best yet are the kids from the free running in the environment sketch; overgrown inner city urban youths with a keen interest in free running around concrete blocks etc. It’s set to a  deep base back-beat as the youths expound on urban life and free running, with many of their key phrases repeated by a voice synthesiser. “It’s like trench warfare out there in the urban environment!”

Also on the Fosters site; you can see the return of the BBC’s hit comedy sketch show series The Fast Show. The 2011 shows are completely new with a welcome return of some of the Fast Show’s zaniest and most hilarious characters. Monkfish is back; John Actor takes a role as a tough-talking Butler in “Upstairs Monkfish, Downstairs Monkfish”, whilst Ron Manager is worried off-camera about the height of his stool in the studio and how dangerous and uncomfortable it is. Finally, The Fast Show wouldn’t be The Fast Show without Swiss Toni’s sage advice to assistant Paul; likening boiling an egg to … you’ve guessed it .. making love to a beautiful woman.
